by Harry Radbone

Based on a true story

Starring: Mick Davies, Sara Ellis Holland

and Ryder Hawkins

When a mysterious creature bonds with Daniel's son, his world unravels, forcing him to fight for his family and eventually face the heartbreaking truth.

Yellow Eye is a 21 minute short film based on a true cancer story. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Tasmania, Yellow Eye follows the emotional struggle of Daniel and Kate, a couple grappling with the reality of their son Mikey's cancer diagnosis. As they confront the unthinkable, Daniel immerses himself in research and proactive solutions, while Kate retreats into her fears, spending as much time as she can with Mikey and making sure that she is present in the situation. As Daniel struggles with this heartbreaking reality, he searches for a way to make sense of it all which brings itself in the form of a mysterious creature—a shadowy, ethereal being with glowing yellow eyes that seems to watch over Mikey relentlessly.

Yellow Eye is helmed by Actor/Writer/Director Harry Radbone, known for his work on the Emmy Nominated Amazon Prime series 'Deadloch' as well as the Netflix series 'Lunatics'. Harry was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) at the age of 4 and battled it until the age of 8. He now wants to share his parents story with the short film Yellow Eye. The cast features Mick Davies (Deadloch, Bay of Fires, Rosehaven) and Sara Ellis Holland (The Tailings, Deadloch, Rosehaven) and Ryder Hawkins as Mikey. Behind the camera is the extremely talented Film-Maker and Cinematographer Jade Higgs, with original soundtrack from Melbourne based artist BeanBo. Yellow Eye is an important film dedicated to the people that never get their story told. It is for the family and friends that are impacted by a cancer diagnosis and the battles that they must face and to shed some light on the hard parts that are often overlooked in media.
